If you’re trying to get a business off the ground — especially something like a remodeling company where every dollar counts early on — just a heads up: Sandy offers website and logo design with no guarantee it’ll be good… and refuses to show any of her past work. I asked (nicely) if I could see a few examples of previous work she’s done. She got noticeably offended. Like I’d asked to read her diary or something deeply personal. Then the conversation somehow turned into this condescending lecture. It felt like I walked into a burger joint, said “Hey, can I get a burger?” and she responded: “Oh, you mean a 4 oz blend of 80/20 chuck from the hindquarter of a grass-fed Holstein, dry-aged for 21 days, topped with locally foraged microgreens and served on a heritage brioche?” And when I didn’t respond right away, she made it clear I didn’t “get” the industry. At one point, I genuinely started wondering if this was a design call or an improv sketch on how to alienate a client. And honestly, I’ve had smoother interactions canceling gym memberships. No portfolio. No proof. And apparently the designs are so confidential they must be stored next to the Declaration of Independence. The price wasn’t even the most shocking part — the attitude was. Passive aggression is her first language — and she speaks it with Olympic precision. ****Update, since the owner Sandy wants to lie: To the person reading this, don’t just take my word for it. Look at the other negative experiences customers have had — every time someone shares a bad experience, she denies it happened, reports it, or blames the customer. • She refuses to show past work when asked. • She’s passive aggressive in how she speaks and responds. • She makes you feel wrong for asking normal genuine questions. • She takes zero responsibility when customers walk away unhappy. • Every critical review gets met with the same response: deflection, denial, or an excuse. Ask yourself: • If something goes wrong — which happens in any real business — is this someone who’s going to step up and fix it? • Or is she going to respond like she did here? (With no accountability) But don’t take my word for it. Call her. Try to work with her. Listen to how she answers the phone. Listen to her tone. Listen to how she talks to you and how she reacts when you ask a basic question. Then ask yourself — do I really want to work with someone like this?
