Customer Reviews

Be very careful with this business. They use unfair and damaging business practices. We used Cypress for4 years for all of our IT services. Their field staff has been helpful and professional. However, yesterday we received a letter via US mail from RC Crocitto, President of Cypress Systems who we've never met, notifying us that our services are being terminated effective in 7 days on Aug 1. The letter is dated July 25, but we received it on Aug 1, the same day our services were terminated. The letter provided no explanation for the terination, but after requesting an explanation today we were told it is because of the age of our equipment (all of which they installed) and some billing issues. Their letter goes on to say they will support the transfer to another provider for $150 per hour minimum. We understand they can terminate us at any time, but providing virtually no notice puts our business at risk and causes an unnecessary interuption and scramble to find a replacement. It's unfortunate that this company's busuiness practices are so unprofessional. I can't imagine why any of their field staff would work there given the way the president runs the business and treats their clients. I would avoid doing business with this company at all cost. I should point out that I never write reviews, but this company desrves this one. RESPONSE TO CYPRESS SYSTEMS' COMMENTS TO OUR POST: The response from Cypress Systems to our review is misleading and completely misses the point. We had a change in personnel that resulted in bills being paid late and we acknowledged that. We explained our situation to Cypress and they offered us a "discount" to pay the outstanding invoices in total due to the delinquecy. The total outstanding was not that significant and we told them we wanted to pay the full amount, which we did. Our account was current with nothing due when Cypress decided to terminate our account with virtually no notice. Our negative review and warning to other businesses is because of Cypress' unreasonable business practice of terminating a long-term client with only 7 days notice that was sent by US mail providing virtually no notice. No phone call, no E-mail, no in-person discussion. Cypress does not comment on this terrible business practice, but states they offered to provide some services AFTER we reacted to their decision. Current and prospective customers of Cypress Systems need to be on notice as to this very damaging and disruptive business practice. This is the first and only negative review I have ever written about a local business and I regret I need to do so. However, shutting off vital IT services with no notice is a very dangerous practice and I want Reno area businesse to be aware.
