I brought my Chrome TOUCHSCREEN laptop in for repair. They told me it would be $300, but if I signed up for their insurance club for $30/month, it would only be $150 for a new touch screen . So I signed up, paid the $30, plus $150, and left my computer there. They told me it would be about a week. They called a couple days later and said my computer was fixed. I picked it up and tried to check it, but it wasn't charged. I brought it home, plugged it in, and realized they replaced my touchscreen with a regular screen. I brought it back. This was now my third trip to the store. They said they made a mistake and were still waiting for the part. They assured me as soon as the part was in, they would call me, and I could come in and have it fixed instantly. I waited. And waited. 8 days later I called them and tried to find out what the holdup was. They called me back and said the part was in. I went to the store again (4th time) and they said it would take two hours. I returned to the store in two hours (my 5th trip), and they handed me my laptop. I turned it on to see if they fixed it, and it was still not a touch screen! 13 days passed. Five trips to the store. I demanded to see the manager and get my money refunded. I explained everything to the manager, Tyler Miller, and he refused to give me a refund. He wanted to put my broken touchscreen back on my computer. I told him he is not touching my computer – he had 13 days to fix it and was obviously not competent to do so. I reported this to the Better Business Bureau. I also made Asurion aware of what happened and they refunded my $30.
This is the 3rd time Ive been to this place in the last fee years. Why I keep coming back here and nowhere else, is because these guys have integrity. This is a place I trust. Recently my phone was freezing and T Mobile told me I needed a new phone. Well I somewhat believed them because they are my carrier, and they are a phone store, so as a consumer why wouldn’t I believe them. This crushed me and put me out of work for a day 1 1/2. I need my phone for work. Now Im trying to come up with the money for a new phone which I definitely did not have. My gut kept saying to come to these guys. Finally I thought what the heck, I’ll just go to find out for sure that my phone cant be fixed and I do need a new phone. Well within a minute of looking at my phone, I think his name was Bryce, told me a new screen should fix it. He wasn’t 100 percent but pretty sure. I was so happy! I came back an hour later and Evan gives me my phone. It was fixed! We had a great conversation and in that conversation just as all the other times, I was assured these guys work from a place of integrity. As a consumer just be careful with places like At&t and T-Mobile and the apple store. As far as I know they are not experts in maintenance, and they could just be looking to make a sale depending on who you get. They work on commission. Just be careful. Come here first!
Always kind, professional, and get the job done quickly! This is hands-down far better than any Verizon store I’ve been to. Very patient with people like me who are not exactly the quickest with technology. But they’re also not condescending, and they explain the situation very clearly. They will also work with insurance and take care of that part for you, at least they’ve done that for me. I’ve trusted these people for over five years now. In particular, at this address on Telegraph Road. To be honest, it’s a touching to find a business where people actually enjoy their job, and legitimately, authentically care about making your customers happy, for no reason than it’s their job. Last visited April 11 2025, late for appointment but they took care of me anyway. Went to Vons and shopped for 10 minutes while they worked their magic on my phone. Good as new. Thank you!
This isn’t about the store’s technical skillsâ€â€it’s about their infuriating customer service. My husband dropped off his phone for a new battery, and after a few hours, they called my number to let my husband know their power had gone out and they could not finish installing the new battery on his phone. Fine, not their fault. They agreed he could pick up his phone (it's still working, just at a low battery), even though we live 45 minutes away in Goleta. He told them he’d be there by 5:15pm due to the long commute time, and they said okay (their website says they close at 7pm). While he was driving, they called me at 4:45pm to say they were closing. My husband had no phoneâ€â€because it was with themâ€â€so I couldn’t warn him. He got there just before 5pm, but their decision to suddenly close after telling him to come was unacceptable. This is terrible management, and I do not recommend this store.
They were so quick and easy. I thought mu phone died but they got it back to and it looked brand new!! They're the best!
